If you’re anything like me, cleaning your makeup brushes regularly isn’t always a priority. Professional makeup artists always ensure their tools are spotless to prevent any contamination, but many of us tend to neglect this aspect, relying on brushes that probably wouldn’t meet their standards :-).
The Isoclean Makeup Brush Carbon Cleanser has proven to be a convenient solution for keeping brushes clean. Not only suitable for personal use, it also makes for a great addition to your teen’s stocking during the festive season. Using the cleanser is simple: wet your brush, swirl it over the carbon soap, and work out any excess products using the nubbly mat, which conveniently folds down to fit in the same container as the soap.
Preventing microbial growth is essential, especially as makeup brushes are known to be a happy breeding ground for various microorganisms.
When using this cleanser, it’s important not to oversaturate your brush, as you want to avoid making the soap too watery. Swirling the brush to pick up the activated carbon creates a good lather, and a quick rinse in warm water followed by drying the brush flat (I prefer using a tea towel) completes the process. While Isoclean offers the product at £12.50, you might find better pricing through online searches.
