[Not sponsored – this is my own opinion] Looking for affordable yet delightful stocking fillers or gifts for friends? I highly recommend the e.l.f. Glow Reviver Lip Oil. Priced at £8, this lip oil performs way beyond its cost. When I first tried it, it instantly brought to mind effortless French beauty – that subtle enhancement rather than hiding. I’d say it’s more like a summer day on the Riviera than a rainy day in Paris. Although, I must admit, my view might be a bit romantic because every time I’m in Paris, I can’t help but notice how everyone looks like they do back home! I’ve mentioned Paris Syndrome before – it’s a feeling of extreme disappointment experienced by some visitors to Paris who feel let down by the city not meeting their expectations. Interestingly, it seems to affect mainly Japanese visitors. I remember being in Tokyo a few years ago and stumbling upon a street that replicated a Parisian setting – it had bakeries, pastry shops, elegant lamp posts, benches, and even played French music. It was quite the experience. Despite all this, I still love Paris – it’s always been a fun place for me.

The shade that particularly caught my attention, and brought about my love for that charming French insouciance, is ‘Jam Session’ – a deep cherry hue that I wouldn’t usually wear, but in this diluted form, it’s perfect. It’s how a sheer wash of color should be – just enough pigment to tint the lips without overpowering the entire face. This oil-gloss formula is spot on for this effect – it gives the lips a luscious look with a hint of color.

Take a look – you can see it leaves a subtle blackberry stain, adding that extra touch with a beautiful shine. The applicator is reminiscent of the one from Clarins Lip Oil – plush and oversized – there’s little to tell them apart, as far as I remember.

I mean, it’s just delightful! There are six pigmented shades and one clear option, all infused with apricot oil. ‘Jam Session’ has quickly become a favorite of mine -I wish I had worn a black shirt to better exhibit the blackberry elements. Nevertheless, £8 well spent! I can hardly contain my curiosity about the other shades.
