[Note: This review is unpaid and contains affiliate links.] The latest offering from Bobbi Brown, the Vitamin Enriched Skin Tint, has piqued my interest. It feels familiar and promising. On Bobbi Brown’s website, you’ll find a brief FAQ section discussing how this Skin Tint differs from a BB Cream. As a long-time advocate for BB creams, I realized I had largely overlooked them. Many of the current skin tints are essentially BB Creams in all but name, still popular in Asia but somewhat forgotten here. The reasons for this shift remain unclear, but it seems that brands have moved away from marketing their tints as BB creams.

Essentially, this new skin tint functions as a standard tinted moisturizer and is a welcome addition to the Vitamin Enriched franchise. It offers a beautiful texture and provides significant hydration, making it particularly well-suited for older or drier skin types.

The product’s claims of providing 12 hours of moisture and true color wear, along with its non-fading, non-creasing, non-settling features, and its sweat and humidity resistance, seem impressive. The formula uses ‘pigment flex’, making it color adaptive, ensuring that the nearest shade blends in as a true match. Even though it offers SPF15 (which may not satisfy those advocating for SPF50), it’s suitable for days like today (cloudy with occasional sunshine). According to the World Health Organization, a UV index of 3 and above requires sunscreen to prevent skin damage. Considering that the UK’s average UV index is 3.8, SPF15 is adequate for a good part of the year. Common sense dictates using a higher SPF in summer and a lower one in winter. However, the choice ultimately rests with you. The whole SPF issue has been complicated by brands urging us to use SPF50 indoors, outdoors, in summer, winter, and even autumn. Soon, someone somewhere will create night SPF.

The medium 2 shade (which I wore) appeared slightly warm. After about 6.5 hours, I noticed some fading, particularly with my lipstick and blush. Despite that, the tint did a commendable job, and my skin remained well-hydrated throughout. Priced at £38, it might seem steep but if you’re already a fan of the Vitamin Enriched range, it’s a worthwhile addition to your makeup collection.
