[AD/Content] SheWolf Hair Care feels like a breath of fresh air with a name so fierce yet a vibe that’s both quirky and lighthearted. Founded by Madrid based Mariano Ruiz, the brand resonates positivity, fun, and sincerity throughout its range. With a solid 23-year career in hair styling, Mariano identified the lack of exciting innovation in hair care and decided to fill that void with SheWolf.

Putting SheWolf to the test, I had my hairdresser, Kelsey (below), use it on me, and I also took it on holiday (above) for a real-world trial. Dealing with holiday hair can be a nightmare, but the SheWolf products left my hair incredibly soft and manageable, without needing additional styling tools. Even back in London, infamous for its water challenging hair, my hair remained beautifully soft and conditioned after washing.
Kelsey used the Color Protect Shampoo and Conditioner, raving about the delightful scent and impressive shine. What’s noteworthy is that the products didn’t just enhance my hair during the salon visit but also at home. I noticed significantly less color loss, thanks to the inclusion of Sweet Almond, which forms an invisible yet weightless shield around the color, prolonging its vibrancy.

The fragrance of the Color Protect range, featuring pomegranate, tuberose, and a hint of orange with a smooth undertone of vanilla and musk, lingers beautifully. Mariano, with his hands-on approach, collaborates closely with formulator Catherine and fragrancer Virginie, resulting in an engaging and delightful formulation process. It’s heartening to know that this ageless collection is curated by lifelong friends who find joy and laughter in their work together.

The brand also offers a Hydrating Collection featuring Inca Oil, already a winner of the Marie Claire Beauty Award, perfect for those with dry hair. The Fig and Tuberose fragrance in this range is equally tempting, but the Color Protect line won me over. Their Apricot Butter Pre-Shampoo Hydrating Mask is a game-changer, providing just the right amount of hydration for everyday use or an intense treatment for severely dry hair. It’s akin to a nourishing face mask but for your hair. The entire range is free from artificial color, sulfates, and parabens.
In the lab, you’ll find Catherine, Virginie, and Mariano, a passionate team devoted to enhancing the hair care experience. With three years of dedication, 93 formulations trialed, and 30 fragrance combinations explored, this range comes to life. Indie hair brands face tough competition, but SheWolf stands out with its genuine, straightforward, and sincere approach. Excitingly, new products are on the horizon, including a silver hair line, a UV protector, and, fingers crossed, a fragranced hair mist. SheWolf is available at FeelUnique HERE and at SheWolf HERE, with prices starting at £18.50. It’s also at Michaeljohn salons HERE.
