[unpaid/sample] I recently tried the Hot Tools Black Gold Volumizer and was pleasantly surprised. Having used a similar blow dry tool before, I was able to make a comparison, and I must say this one offers the quickest blow dry I’ve ever experienced, taking only about ten minutes from start to finish.

These images were taken at around 8.30 am this morning after I had been out walking my dog, Honey. As you can see, my hair looks shiny and nicely styled at the bottom. What makes this tool great is that it provides the same styling effect as a hairdresser would, resulting in a salon-like finish. Additionally, it also dries your hair like a hair dryer, making it easy for everything to fall into place effortlessly.

Before using the Volumizer, I washed my hair with The Body Shop’s Ginger Shampoo and applied a small amount of Heinrich Barth conditioner. To add shine, I finished off with the Christophe Robin Regenerating Serum, which I highly recommend. It’s advisable to use a comb to section your hair properly and partially dry it before using the Volumizer to avoid excess moisture.

The Volumizer comes with two heads, and I opted for the smaller one for a more natural look while walking my dog. The volume it provided was sufficient for me, even though I already have thick hair. I appreciated the swish and shine of the finish, as well as the quickness of the process. Despite being a bit noisy, especially compared to my quiet Dyson dryer, I found it to be an excellent tool overall, especially for those who struggle with blow-drying like myself.
