[unpaid/sample] I’m always happy to see new bright colors for spring, and the latest Mavala Pastel Fiesta collection covers a wide range of beautiful shades.

Although pastel nails aren’t typically my go-to choice since they can be tricky to perfect, one tip is to apply a white base coat to enhance the colors. Each shade in this collection is named after stunning locations around the world. I found out that Gotland is a gorgeous Swedish island that inspired one of the shades. While Biarritz, one of my favorite places, turned out to be the least captivating shade in the collection, as it’s a flat, pale grey.

Surprisingly, Gotland became my favorite, as it is a pastel blue with a hint of lilac, giving it a unique twist from the usual baby blue shades. I currently have it on my nails and it has already received compliments during Zoom calls! Rimini stands out with its iridescent quality, appearing as a lilac shade with a subtle blue shimmer.

In the swatch, the shades are Taormina (Sicily), Biarritz, Rimini, Hamptons, Brighton, and Gotland.
