[unpaid/purchase/affiliate] Recently, I added five new lip balms to my collection – Tower 28, Rabanne, Kosas, Nars, and a replacement for my beloved Charlotte Tilbury Crystal Happikiss. Here, I’ll share two of them with you, and the others will follow in my next post.
Shown above are Rabanne Love Balm in Love Language and Tower 28 Juice Balm in Squeeze.
Rabanne’s Love Balm, recommended by a reader, impressed me with its texture. However, choosing a color was a bit challenging due to their pastel shades. Love Language, once applied, reminded me of Claudia Winkleman for some reason. It offers a milky pink tint with a balmy texture that feels comfortable and protective. The finish is more of a satin look, similar to the Charlotte Tilbury Crystal Happikiss. It’s priced at £29, available in five colors, and has a subtle waxy scent.
I am particularly pleased with Tower 28’s Juicebalm in Squeeze – it closely resembles Rene Pink, although I find the pigment slightly too intense for my liking. This high-shine balm is very comfortable to wear and has a slightly sweet scent. Priced at £18, it’s a great value and can be purchased HERE. Despite its quirky name, Tower 28 hails from California, inspired by a lifeguard beach tower. Here are swatches of both balms – the bottom swatch represents Rene Pink, showing its similarity to Squeeze.
