[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] Escentual provided me with a few bases to try – the first being Clarins Tinted Olio-Serum, a luminous oil serum with added pigment. I am trying to recall if I have encountered any similar tinted oils before, but I can’t remember any, so I would say that this is a unique formula.

The formulation is a combination of oils (jojoba, squalane, hazelnut), and ceramides, making it very comfortable to wear – not suitable if you do not like skin oils – giving a nourished glow rather than an oily sheen. I found it very appealing when I tested it – if you are transitioning from summer tints to more hydrating formulas as we move into autumn, I would say this is ideal, especially if you still have some warmth to your complexion that benefits from some dewiness.

Squalane is a fantastic oil – always a favorite of mine in products – while the primary oil highlighted is hazelnut (caution advised for any nut allergies) which is not as commonly used as other oils. It is a rich source of vitamin E, known for its anti-inflammatory and soothing properties. The feel on the skin is indeed quite calming.

This is shade 4 – it appears slightly warmer than depicted in the picture, but I appreciate the subtle radiance it provides. It offers some evening out of the skin tone, allowing your natural skin to radiate with more vitality than if bare.

Shown above is shade 4. The one aspect I am not fond of is the dropper – it is made entirely of glass, which is recyclable, but can be cumbersome when dealing with colored products. There are ten shades available from light to deep, and Escentual has all in stock. It is priced at £39 HERE. Suitable for those with dry or sensitive skin, and not recommended if you prefer a matte finish over oils.
