Being a long-time fan of REN, particularly their Evercalm line, which I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone dealing with troubled skin, I recently came across REN Everhydrate. This discovery has only strengthened my belief in the brand’s effectiveness. Although I generally find REN products to be on the pricey side, the Everhydrate duo is an exception. It outperforms other moisturizers, making it well worth the investment, especially for those with dry skin.

Both products from the Everhydrate range are suitable for sensitive and eczema-prone skin. The REN Everhydrate Marine Moisture Serum contains hyaluronic acid, polyglutamic acid to lock in moisture, green caviar algae, and Rosella, a botanical extract known for its potent antioxidant and natural emollient properties, which help soften and hydrate the skin.

The REN Everhydrate Marine Moisture Replenish lives up to its name by providing truly replenishing effects. In fact, in a test conducted on 135 individuals of various ages, 100% of the participants experienced increased moisture retention for up to 48 hours. While REN’s official store lists the product as out of stock, you can find the serum available for early access at M&S. The serum and moisturizer are both currently in stock at M&S. Despite one ingredient being cryptically listed as ‘Hydrating Freshwater Plant,’ the serum primarily features hyaluronic acid, polyglutamic acid, and algae in a rich base. Personally, I found the product to be so effective that I didn’t feel the need to extensively research every ingredient – the results spoke for themselves.

Having tried both products under makeup, I found that the serum worked best, although it’s important to allow it a couple of minutes to settle into the skin. I’m still torn between whether both products are necessary. In my opinion, the serum is the standout formula; you can customize it with additional products at home. However, if you prefer a cream, that’s a suitable option as well. You’ll undoubtedly notice a significant improvement in skin hydration – the products feel gentle, fresh (even a bit cooling), and are a godsend for dry skin. The serum is priced at £40 and the cream at £35. These products are perfect for the changing seasons, providing a light feel while delivering deep hydration.
