[This review is based on unpaid samples] Recently, I attended the launch of Absolute Collagen Skin Care, an event themed in yellow to celebrate the brand’s announcement of Emma Willis as their ambassador. The launch was remarkable—an enjoyable affair with meticulous attention to detail. As someone who doesn’t usually stick around at such events, I found the atmosphere relaxed and welcoming. To my surprise, I was coincidentally wearing a yellow scarf, a color seldom found in my wardrobe.

My encounter with Absolute Collagen is relatively new—I receive frequent inquiries from supplement brands, mostly related to anti-ageing, which I usually overlook unless something piques my curiosity. Absolute Collagen, renowned for its supplements, has recently ventured into skincare. Let’s address the elephant in the room first—Deep Lift. Frankly, I’m not a fan. Promoting an age-positive message is crucial, and it’s odd to note that the co-founder, Maxine, embodies this ethos fully. This was an opportunity for them to communicate their ethos clearly, and that opportunity was missed. Achieving healthy, radiant skin has no correlation with ‘lifting’—especially using a topical cream. Moving on.

On a superficial level, the clinical results appear impressive, demonstrating enhanced skin firmness and hydration. However, certain statistics such as improved hydration (an expected outcome for any decent cream) and the vague claim of ‘89% feeling protected all day’ using the Deep Lift Day Cream raise skepticism. The usage of Matrixyl 3000, ceramides, and Niacinamide in Absolute Collagen Skin Care products indicate a reliable and effective formulation.

Impressively, the textures of the products are remarkable. The Neck & Dec cream, in particular, effortlessly absorbs into the skin, offering a lightweight and comfortable feel. All the products are comfortable to wear—they don’t feel heavy or sticky.

In the realm of hydration, these products excel. While it’s hard to determine the potential for deep lifting based on a brief test, it’s safe to say that these products deliver in terms of smoothing the skin, providing a healthy glow, and maintaining a vibrant complexion. The price point sits at £55 for 50ml for the Day Cream, Night Cream, and Neck & Decollete Cream, while the Eye Cream is priced at £50 (I haven’t evaluated this one). It’s a mid-range option in terms of affordability. Absolute Collagen boasts a dedicated fan base, and the quality of their formulations, textures, and the reliable key ingredients is commendable. It’s a skilful presentation of skincare for mature women, disregarding the nomenclature, from my personal perspective. You can browse through all the products HERE, including impressive before-and-after images that left me contemplating if I should incorporate the AC supplement drink.
