[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I have only lightly tested this cream as I currently have a lot of skincare products that require my attention. Despite some aspects of the marketing that I don’t appreciate, this product is a delightful, nurturing, hydrating, and softening cream that quickly addresses dryness.
Clarins describes it as an innovation for menopausal skin. However, as ‘menopausal’ seems to be the new buzzword in marketing akin to ‘lines and wrinkles,’ I am not placing much emphasis on that. The simple fact is that mature skin requires more moisture, which has always been the case and always will be.
Both the Clarins Super Restorative Day Cream and Night Cream utilize organic harungana (an African plant related to St John’s Wort, claimed to be as effective as retinol) and organic gorse extract to target firmer skin through fibroblasts. Additionally, it contains vitamin C derivatives to address hyperpigmentation, providing a balance of hydrating and brightening effects. This cream feels luxurious and soothing on the skin. Personally, I have been using it on my neck, which requires extra hydration and is sensitive, and I find it very beneficial. You can enhance the Night Cream by adding a few drops of oil or serum for increased effectiveness, although this is not a necessity.
The Clarins Super Restorative Day Cream is priced at £77, while the Night Cream costs £82. If this fits within your budget, and you have mature skin, and enjoy a classic, luxurious cream texture, then this product is suitable for you. However, if you are expecting it to have a significant impact on menopausal symptoms, then it might not meet your expectations.
