[unpaid/sample] Certainly, the cleanser is delightful! Along with the mist, it delivers exactly what we could have expected from Lisa, who is expanding her presence in the beauty retail sector with a Selfridges counter opening today. Currently, the lineup includes the Skin Enhancing Treatment Cleanser, the Skin And Makeup Enhancing Mist, and a set of Cleansing & Exfoliating Cloths – high-quality ones, not tired, flimsy old muslins.

Let’s dive into the cleansing aspect. As expected, the product boasts a carefully curated list of ingredients – more information can be found on Lisa’s website, but one of the most notable elements is the saponins derived from the Soapwort tree – encompassing the bark, roots, and leaves. Interestingly, Soapwort has historical use dating back to Roman times, although probably not in a balm-to-gel-to-milk formulation ;-). Other key ingredients include oat kernel oil (rich in ceramides), glycerin (standard), Passionfruit Seed Oil (an antioxidant), meadowfoam seed oil (replete with fatty acids – a popular ingredient), Squalane (a widely loved ingredient), and Prickly Pear oil (known for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties). Take your time to massage this cleanser through its various phases – as the cleanser doesn’t stay on the face for long, a slow application is beneficial to reap the rewards. The formula is fragrance-free.

Now, onto the mist – a product category I adore. Mists have always felt nurturing, especially during stressful, warm, busy moments, like a gentle caress on the cheek. The mist contains a blend of aloe vera, niacinamide, Multimoist CLR (TM), which enhances skin hydration by retaining water within the skin, and Filmexcel (R) – a biopolymer network that creates an invisible, smooth, and firming mesh on the skin. Personally, I don’t see significant effects from this aspect, but I wouldn’t use it for those purposes; instead, I would utilize it for a makeup reset, a refreshing bare skin touch, or a hydrating cooldown. Seeking lifting and firming benefits from a fine mist may seem a bit ambitious, considering life is too short for such expectations. However, the final ingredient is crucial – an 8 Amino Acid complex that mimics the skin’s natural moisturizing factors. This component truly works and suffices for me. Moreover, this mist is exceptionally gentle on the skin.

Regarding the skin cleansing cloths, to be honest, they are quite similar to those from Emma Hardie, with slight variations. If you already own the Emma Hardie cloths, you may not find these essential. Nevertheless, they are top-quality cloths and are personally one of my preferred options for makeup removal or cleansing, alongside my cherished Washi Cloths. In terms of pricing, the cloths are priced at £10, the mist at £37, and the cleanser at £43. I would have preferred to see slightly lower prices to enhance accessibility – although I understand that extensive market research would have determined the pricing to ensure alignment with the market. Ideally, we could anticipate travel-sized versions to test the waters (figuratively speaking – or literally if desired, of course :-)). Explore the full range HERE.
